Visit in the Musée régional enrôlés de force in Dudelange, Luxembourg
Small museums contain sometimes unknown collections but are rich in expertise and knowledge.
During a first visit by the current team of Warlux, Michel R. Pauly and Nina Janz, browsed through photos, files, lists, books and objects, and have found some precious content. Besides uniforms and objects like an
Air-raid siren, personal documents of IDs of the Reichsarbeitsdienst and the Wehrmacht, letters of the enrolment and many pictures of the difficult lives of the young Luxembourgers are kept by the museum staff. The devoted volunteers answered our questions and told us stories of their own experiences of the wartime.
We will be back very soon and collect the stories and the biographical information about these person groups in detail!
