The German Wehrmacht surrenders on May 8, 1945 – the day symbolizes the end of World War II and the end of National Socialist hegemony in Europe. The horrors officially came to an end in Luxembourg too. The Tageblatt talked to historian Christoph Brüll from the University of Luxembourg about the liberation of Luxembourg, May 8, 1945 and the immediate post-war period.
